triplex glass shades

All our shades are made of triplex (3-layer) glass and additionally provided with a melted bottom rim. In this way the edge is rounded and pleasant to touch. Any risk of tension in the glass is further reduced by this extra production process.  All shades are mouth blown and made by hand. Good luminous efficiency is achieved. As each shade is a piece of art, created by hand, there will be variations from shade to shade. Air bubbles may occur, the thickness of the glass can differ and "the drop" on the melted edge may be more or less pronounced. All this testifies to the unique skill required to produce the lampshade.
